Montana Dinosaur Hunting

The geological activity that formed Montana's mountains and plains has exposed rock formations from many geological eras and most importantly the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods when dinosaurs roamed ancient North America. Rock formations rich in fossils are at or near the surface around Montana and often are found in areas with very little vegetation making it even easier for professional and amateur fossil hunters. From west to east here are the places in Montana for dinosaur hunters to explore and learn.

Two Medicine Dinosaur Center in Bynum, Montana is open year round 7 days a week except holidays and offers college credit programs. It is located on U.S. Highway 89 in downtown Bynum. 1-800-238-6873.
