Visitors can play among prehistoric giants at Brookfield Zoo
It only takes one glance at the upended golf cart with giant green footprints on the windshield to see something's a little different about Brookfield Zoo's latest arrivals.
The zoo's newest display, Dinosaurs Alive!, uses the popular prehistoric creatures to draw comparisons with animals living today and spark discussion on climate change.
The display features 16 animatronic dinosaurs of different sizes and species, spread along a forested path. Sensors set the dinosaurs in motion, moving heads, tails and mouths, waving front legs and roaring. Four of the models, including an apatosaurus baby, can be manipulated by visitors using remote-control consoles.
